But does google own it?

It may have changed hands and may track you now, too.  I know that
duckduckgo used to be a non-tracking alternative but I have lately heard
people complain about it tracking them.

Also, very recently, Mozilla -- parent of Firefox -- has announced that
they will no longer not be sharing your information with others.

I think the money that AI is probably offering these sites and companies
alone, to use their data to train their AI, is probably staggering.
