Subj : Political Web Domains To : All From : Aaron Thomas Date : Wed Mar 12 2025 21:43:49 I was going to read Fox News earlier, and I accidentally typed foxnees.com into the address bar and that domain redirected me to youtube.com. Out of curiosity, I checked to see when that domain was registered, and the ownership of it changed just 2 months ago. It's weird. Who would buy that domain just to do that with it? Another weird political web domain story: A few months ago Mike told me about a search engine called starpage.com. Startpage says "Get Google search results without being tracked!" To me that sounds weird, because who's tracking what? And if you're trying to avoid Google, why would you want to use startpage then? Aside from all that weirdness, it got weirded when I checked to see when startpage.com was registered. It was registered just 1 month after google.com was registered. Isn't that weird? It seems like Google created "the Google alternative" just 1 month after they created Google itself. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A49 2023/04/30 (Windows/64) * Origin: JoesBBS.Com, Telnet:23 SSH:22 HTTP:80 (1:342/200) .
