Subj : American politics r/n To : All From : Pablo Gener Date : Thu Feb 06 2025 14:01:57 What I get from the US Government so far from what I'm seeing on social media in the past few months up to this day, this is what I can gather: - Harris warned the american people (while in the campaign for president), that Trump: .. had this Project 2025 under his arm .. was completely out of control with weird gloomy ideas of retracting american policies back to the dark ages .. was completely out of guard rails as there was a Supreme Court ruling that made him basically untouchable while seated as President of USA. - The american people, in an overwhelmingly majority, voted for Trump for president. So far, he has: .. said Canada should be 51st state .. said Mexico's economy should be treated as a colony of the USA .. said the US should 'just take over' Greenland .. deported a few hundreds of immigrants to a handful of neighbour countries, and said that if those countries won't take back their people, he'd send them to Guantanamo .. said the US should 'just take over' the Panama Canal and just yesterday, he: .. said the US should 'just take over' (actually, said 'take ownership') of the Gaza Strip What I make out of all this, is that Trump's idea of a new 'Golden Age' for America is having America see no one opposing them anywhere in the world, politically, economically, culturally or militarly, and so the USA can do as they please, use and throw away whatever they bump into, and basically be the most vile and disgusting bully kid of the whole world and have everyone shut up around them, out of fear. Was there ever a 'Golden Age' like this in America? Is Trump trying to 'go back' to an uber-imperialistic 'age' for the USA? I sense that the 'public debate' in the US is turning its head on ugly issues and the american people just wishes they could go into a 'bliss state of ignorance' where they just don't care how their government is treating the other countries like bitches and kinda normalize that kind of political behaviour. Pleeease american fellows, give me a sign that I'm so wrong to feel that way... Cheers, Malvinas. Islas Malvinas, siempre Argentinas! ....
