Do these people use Alexa or Siri?  Do they use autocorrect on their cell
phone? Do they never call a support line for anything?

They use AI probably several times a day without even thinking about it.

Heck, I used AI back in 1979 when I ran the ELIZA program on the TRS-80.

AI research has been going on for literally decades and advancedments come out
of it all the time that impact most people.
