Nobody, not even Trump, ever explains the AT> significance of AI, just "AI this, and AI that, and $100 billionm for AT> AI." That's understandable. But look at all the money that we pumped into NASA back in the 1960s. We still don't have vacations on the moon, but not many people realize how many technological advancements came out of the Space Program that greatly impact our society today. Mylar, WD-40 are a couple of things that jump to mind. But did you know that it was the Space Program that REALLY pushed microcomputing? The computers we have today wouldn't have existed (at least not at this time) if not for the advancedments pushed by the Space Program. My point is that AI investment doesn't necessairly mean "AI making everyone's lives easier". But it does mean that the process of trying to make AI good for everyone will cause unknown advancements to happen that certainly will probably everyone. .... To know the road ahead, ask those coming back. ___ MultiMail/Linux v0.52 --- Mystic BBS/QWK v1.12 A47 2021/12/25 (Windows/32) * Origin: cold fusion - cfbbs.net - grand rapids, mi (1:120/616) .
