Subj : Who said it - Trump or MLK? To : Aaron Thomas From : Mike Miller Date : Wed Jan 22 2025 08:41:08 Hello Aaron! 23 Mar 70 02:36, you wrote to me: MM>> AT> (I just debunked this for you and you're welcome.) And the MM>> TikTok thi MM>> AT> well, now America owns 50% of it. Not Trump. Not Elon Musk. MM>> America. MM>> AT> You're welcome. MM>> MM>> You're making shit up now? Because that's a flat out lie. AT> I didn't have the facts straight about that, so I apologize. (It was a AT> suggestion that Trump made, and not a deal that was discussed.) There's a big difference between a suggestion, and making a claim that it's something that's done and in place. 4 years ago, Trump was one of the most vocal people towards a ban of TikTok. But because the CEO of ByteDance, and a bunch of other people who have money invested in it gave Trump money, he's now done a complete reversal of that. Nothing else has changed. America should NOT be in the business of "owning" businesses that have nothing to do with providing public services or running our government. And you should not be excited about this prospect, becuase it goes aganst the very tenants of capitalism. AT> But I was right about this other part of our conversation: MM>> In Trump's case, he just wants equality amongst billionaires. MM>> They're a higher class of person, you know. Unless you have MM>> enough money to drop AT> "He just signed an order ending DEI in federal workplaces. This AT> ensures equal opportunities for all based on merit. (IOW: equality.)" You'll note that I cut that out of the other message, because I had (and still have) no desire to explain that DEI is not the boogeyman that your cult leaders have told you it is Mike ....
