We turned on Github's AI programming assistant for software development in my company for a while. It was worse than useless. Only about a 10% success rate - with the other 90% adding more work to remove what it put in my code. But that's what it is today and it will probably get better. We'll see. AIs work best with a very constrained subject. So an AI that is good at playing chess will be awful at making stock trading decisions. AT> Maybe it can be improved in the future, to use less power. Again, probably. It's expensive to run an AI. That will create a market demand for something that uses less power. Maybe a dedicated CPU design. If the Elitists will stay out of the way, the market will either make it happen, or prove that it cannot. ....
