They may have housed them.
They may have shipped them off to some other city (like Springfield).
They may have gone home or been deported.

In the article I read, it sounded like Adams is trying to work with
authorities (unlike some of his D counterparts) and actually get some people
sent back.

If Trump keeps his campaign promises, the ones that don't belong will all
eventually be deported and housing them will no longer be necessary.
