One of my friends was clearing out an old house that had varmints
hanging abouts inside, including oppossums, and several feral cats.
He found the easiest solution to the problem was to use his handgun
to take them out, and then load them up into his pickup truck where
he could unload them into the woods. This worked for a long time,
until he was caught, and cited for animal cruelty.

After taking six months of classes, and a promise not to shoot
feral cats any more, he was allowed to continue cleaning out old
houses. As long as he put the critters in cages for release later
into the woods. Otherwise, he would be doing time in another kind
of cage.

Do fish feel pain? Of course they do. That is why fishermen whack
them in the head once they get the fish into the boat. But we can't
do that with crawfish. We have to boil them alive. Watch them wave
their orange claws at us as they make themselves ready to be eaten.
