IIRC, the 20k number is the population of Springfield. Nationwide, per Kamala Harris, there are 50-100K Haitian immigrants that are under Temporary Protective Status (TPS). I am not certain what we are protecting them from, though, aside from maybe themselves. > Someone planted them there intentionally The mayor said he believes some company/ies is/are taking money to relocate them and chose to put them there. That was in an article from the Springfield paper that I posted here previously. > They are camping in peoples' yards without invitation That comes from one of the residents who spoke out at a city commission meeting in late August. > They are eating/sacrificing cats That comes from social media posts and may be false. > They got free cars You are the only one I have seen who claims someone is giving them cars. They may have bought them. > They are smashing their free cars because they suck at driving That comes from one (or more) of the residents who spoke out at a city commission meeting in late August. In the past couple of days, the NY Post has reported about a traffic incident involving a Haitian migrant in Ohio. I have not found any such claims in any news sources from Ohio (yet). Someone in another echo on another network claimed to have knowledge of Ohio-sourced articles but, when I asked them to include a few, they sent me more social media posts. > That's a tall order right there. And none of us have been to Springfield > recently to confirm any of this. It could all be true, or it could all be lies Yes, could be either. * SLMR 2.1a * Whips & chains?
