If someone throws you under the bus, you are not likely to go around
supporting them.  You might not support their opponents (which I don't
remember the Bushes doing in 2016 or 20), but you are not likely to get
behind them, either.

I doubt there are many/any Republicans that Trump has sicked the "RINO
Police" on that publicly support him now.  The fact that some might go as
far as to publicly support his opponents should not come as a shock.  When
you burn bridges, they usually stay burnt.
