I just read about him, and I'm surprised to learn that he is a Republican. I think I'm also learning now that some states elect their SOS while others (like NY) just get stuck with whatever POS the governor/George chooses. So it sounds like there is some separation between SOS & governor in Kentucky, and that's awesome.
