If they had allowed Biden to be in front of the press as much as Trump was
before the 2020 election, most of America... or at least the independent
and undecided voters... would have seen that he was having issues
associated with mental decline.  So they kept him out of the spotlight as
much as possible.

At first, Harris was all ready to debate Trump but now they are keeping
both her and her running mate mostly shielded from the press and public
until closer to the election.

I would agree you are correct, it is the 2020 play book all over again, and
for basically the same reason... less time for Harris to be exposed as
incompetent.
