No it is not.  It *can* result in removal in cases of treason, bribery, and
"other high crimes" but that is not always the case.

Less than half of successful impeachments in the US (22) have resulted in
removal from office (8). No successful Presidential impeachments in the US (4)
have resulted in removal.
