   That must be totally unique. I've never heard of any other person who never experiences any roadwork when being "all over" somewhere an entire summer.

   ... there are around one thousand construction sites on the roads in NY state alone and several more thousands "all over the East Coast". If you didn't see a single one, you should take off your orange blinders.
