If you are a snowbird and you have a property up north and one in Florida you cannot claim the one up north as a primary residence as well. BTW, properties that are homesteaded in Florida exempt from bankruptcy and other forms of financial seizures... IRS or otherwise. Now if Trump used Mar A Lago to secure a loan... Subjective part is that Trump is worth Billions and he's been in the bank during prior visits borrowed 100s of millions of dollars and paid those loans off.... It's the totality of all that gets you a loan. Recall the NY case the banks said they loved doing business with Trump because he always paid back his loans and that Trump also stated on all his documents that the banks should use their own appraisers to make their own estimates on the property values...
