Subj : Immunity To : Ib Joe From : Alan Ianson Date : Sat Apr 27 2024 15:59:36 > On 26 Apr 2024, Alan Ianson said the following... >> >> Really? What about Nixon? >> > You missed the point... Again.... They argued this... Nixon should have been > impeached for his non-official act of breaking into the Democrat HQ.... Bla > Bla Bla. Operative thing in your example... I assume Watergate is what you > meant with Nixon... NON-OFFICIAL. No, I never missed your point. I asked you, simply. "What about Nixon"? > Impeach the man in the House, have a trial in the Senate... Senate convicts > and removes him... And he's now open for Criminal persecution, post > impeachment. You make the same silly argument that DT and his lawyers make before SCOTUS. A president may well be impeached or not. The success of impeachment depends on the dutifulness of the congress/senate. The GOP doesn't have a strong record for law and order. A president who commits a crime could/should/would be charged with any crimes committed regardless of impeachment. An impeachment and a trial are two different things. Impeachment removes a bad actor from office. An indictment of crimes will result in a trial. If convicted of any crimes the criminal will have to pay fines or do time in prison depending on the outcome. >> Well no, he never "opened" the border. > Yes he did... He said come on up... you'll get free phones and stay at 5 star > hotels and whatnot... There is a stronger argument that Biden opened the > border up than Trump was guilty of campaign finance law issues over paying a > porn star not to talk about a BJ she may or may not gave him. That's just a baseless narrative. >> True, Joe was never involved in human trafficing. > He enables it... Maybe they are paying the Big Guy 10%... Joe can send the > military to the border tomorrow and shut the border down but he doesn't > Its also reported that Biden has lost over 80,000 some odd kids and since he > stopped DNA testing they have not clue who they are giving the kids over to. The GOP killed the best border deal made that was ready to be signed. >> Lawfare? What is it about law and order that you hate so much? > you need to stop watching MSNBC, or Global... No, you need to look at the facts. >> That, like everything MAGA is completely unreasonable. >> > The US is a Republic. It is suppose to have the Constitution and the rule of > law. MAGA does not care about the constitution or the rule of law. >> They took away many of the rights women have had for over fifty years so >> I wouldn't be surprised what they do next. >> > They didn't take any rights away... They pushed it back to the States where > it belonged ... 10th Amendment says so... They sure did. Women in the USA have lost the right to privacy and to make their own choice. Many women have already paid a price for this and there is more to come. > As we see today with the Trans stuff what the Democrats feel about women's > rights. "Trans stuff" has nothing to do with women's rights. >> I don't think SCOTUS is going to be much help to ol' Donnie at this >> point. > Sorry... I heard some of the questioning... And I think it's going in Trumps > favor. Like usual you post nothing to support this claim. At least I posted > some clips where the justices are asking questions or their questioning is > being analyzed... > How did you come to this conclusion... Please persuade me... Unlike the left > I'm open to hear some new ideas. I am not trying to persuade you, I just don't think SCOTUS can under any circumstance agree to the argument Trump is making. They will make their ruling soon enough and we'll all know. >> Presidents have never had immunity before and have had no trouble. > They've all had immunity... Lincoln suspends Habeas Corpus... nothing... > Roosevelt... sent Japanese to interment Camps... nothing... Truman bombed >Japanese citizens... NOT MILITARY... CITIZENS... when he dropped 2, not 1 but > nuclear bombs... nothing... Sure, Japan attacked the US and the US responded. Any questions? > And YES... Trump told people that they had a 1st amendment right to go > peacefully and let congress know how they feel. > Now... I hadn't finished my coffee and this is what I came up with... Sure there is no question the citizens have a first amendment right. That does not include an attack on the capitol, obviously. > If you're going to TTYL can you come up with a few facts to support your > claims.. You either don't see, or don't care about facts. --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-7 * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757) .
