There really is a lot to love about Florida. Maybe people in my state have suffered from lost equity. That's a good reason to leave NY.

With that mind, I searched for homes in Gainesville, for example, and found one for $100k that looks like crap, but it's the least expensive single family home, and it's pending already! No, I can't afford Florida.
