Some states, like Florida, only raise your property taxes by a small % regardless of current market conditions.  I've seen little old ladies in Florida paying  a few hundred dollars a year because they've owned their property for 50 years.  Florida cannot increase their property tax by more than 3%. :)  This could be why Trump's property tax value is sooooooooooo low... In the state of Florida you can homestead your property and save even more money on your property taxes... Homestead is reserved for your primary residence... BTW, I heard that Trump applied for the homestead exemption when he moved to Florida... One last thing the homestead exemption gives you is creditor protection... So, assh*les in NY, or anywhere for that matter, will not be able to Use Mar-a-Lago to settle any of their grievances.

It matters where you live, for example... If you live in more populated areas and on the coast... NO... If you live in less populated areas  and not necessarily off the coast... Maybe... But to be honest you'd have to have a talent to fix things up.
