Since they have background checks for guns, and if the work like they are
supposed to (as opposed to being just a pain in the ass for law abiders), there
should be no reason to do another check when it comes time to buy ammo for the
already-background-checked gun.
 
I see you have no problem with CA using racist laws to justify their new
one.  I am guessing you'd feel different, and probably be the one pointing it
out, if it were a "red" state that was doing it instead.
