I will argue the opposite. While less people means less demand for resources, it also means that it's less economically feasible to make things cleaner and more efficient. For example, Ignorant Elitists like to complain that cars pollute the environment. 20+ years ago I was working at GM Powertrain Engineering. We had to upgrade our emission benches (that measure the exhaust gasses) because they couldn't tell the difference between the input air and the output air. In some cases, the exhaust had LESS pollutants than the input air (keep in mind that this was Downdown Flint, MI). The only way that cars "pollute" today is 1. If you count carbon dioxide as a pollutant (which would make the case of eliminating all Leftists since all they produce is carbon dioxide). 2. A person doesn't properly maintain his car. And keep in mind that was 20+ years ago. It's only gotten better. But if there wasn't a high demand for cars, there would be no money to do the work to make them pollute less and get better fuel efficiency. .... Pornography?
