The low level ones (like Lee, Al and the like) are extremely ignorant.

The high level ones are much more intelligent, but still very ignorant about
human nature.  These are the same people who, back in the middle ages, were
surprised when the peasants burned their castle.

But you are correct in that they shouldn't be underestimated.  They still wield
power and as they get pushed into a corner, they will use that power.
