That's just passing the blame. Zelenski is a terrible disgrace of a leader.

No state is 100% safe from a coup, not even China. Leaders have to take
precautions. Leaders need to have diplomatic communication with potential aggressors. Leaders need to know how to keep civilians out of harm's reach.

If someone robs a convenience store, the convenience store personnel have precautions that they follow to minimize injury to the store clerks. They do not have policies that call for "send the customers to a neighboring business, and smack the robber in the head with a carton of smokes."

This is why convenience stores are more competent and successful than Zelenski and Ukraine.
