I realize that my analogies seem stupid, but Democrats are smart, and somehow they've figured out that "abortion rights" are important to a large portion of voters. 

The part that I haven't figured out yet is why do voters care so much about protecting abortion? Men especially should be annoyed when people talk about "a woman's right to choose," because that means that women should have the right
to terminate a child against the wishes of the child's father.
