The permanent people of Washington see the elected people as temporary staff and deal with them accordingly.  The Uni-Party run DC, not the Democrats or Republicans.  When they wanted to find something on Trump it took months, not years.  There was a case in Ocala Florida where a neighbor shot an other neighbor through a door... She was claiming Stand Your Ground... it took a few days for the investigators to come out and counter her claims... and arrest her.

If you are part of permanent Washington they won't investigate or charge you. FBI agents spoke out about the 10 million dollar corruption scandal and now the GOP are are trying to hold a corrupt system to account.

Nothing takes 10 years to investigate...
