Might be... there was a time I was proud to say I was Canadian... now I just keep it to myself.

BTW, I went to University back in the day when you could openly debate topics... If they were marking some of my papers today I'd be on the 6 O'clock news talking about how I got an "F" for not towing the line on the accepted narrative...
