(1) the inflation rate has been higher in the USA than in other "advanced"
countries
(2) it would not be as bad if we were not involved in supporting Ukraine
financially, which is something that the other "advanced" countries with
lower inflation rates are not doing, or not doing to the extent that we are
because, unlike those other countries, the USA is fighting a proxy war with
Russia
(3) we are experiencing additional financial issues because the current
administration decided to move us off the path of energy independence and
back onto the path of dependence

It is not new but is worse now than it has been in recent past.
