In order for a felony there must be a crime, so that bragg will then have the ability to "bootstrap" a felony. To date Bragg has yet to indicate what this unspoken crime is.

I really believe Bragg is either scared or knows he has limits if he steps over the line to commit legal jeopardy Bragg could very well be disbarred. Besides Bragg should know that the Feds looked as well Robert Mueller looked into this avenue of would be charges and both decided not to pursue this due to it's extreme weakness. 

Campaigning for office for the DA with the message of getting Trump could be an ethics violation. Bragg's goose could be already cooked long before putting the bird in the oven, but surely that wouldn't be picked up in the media, naturally because it would not fit their narrative.
