Long ago, I stopped trusting those in charge without verification from a
reliable source.

That would be a good idea.  But the Republicans are almost as bad.

I don't expect to see anything that useful out of them.

It's a mix.  Some of them are Elitists - just like 99% of the Democrats. 
Others are just there to suck off the gov't teat until they retire with a big
pension and war chest.

I don't have any faith that the gov't will solve anything since they are most
of the problem.
