I don't believe that camera prices have come down in price recently. Did they
show you any evidence of that? I guess it depends on which brand you buy, but
I use Reolink cameras, and I see them gradually going up in price due to the
evolution of camera resolution. Mine are all 5MP, which are about $50 each, but
now 8MP seems to be the standard, and they are like $75 each.

To me, it seems like the influence peddler is offering some kind of end of term
deals on surveillance.
