That latter one is a prickly pear.  A news report I watched the other day
(either on the local or PBS) mentioned that many Democrats who are
campaigning for re-election this fall are trying not to mention their work
to pass the "inflation fighting" bills because most voters are also consumers
and realize that, at least so far, inflation is not going away.

They said the only ones who were using it in their campaigns were running
in heavily blue areas where the election is not heavily contested.

There are also economist who are willing to get in front of a camera and
discuss why those bills will likley not reduce inflation but possibly even
cause it to get worse.
