Fossil-fuel-powered vehicles also tend to become disable in floods, and have
their own documented explosion risks in another type of "natural" disaster,
namely wildfires.

Also, the increases in the number and intensity of both hurricanes and
wildfires has been shown to be the result of man-made climate change*, and
fossil-fuel-powered vehicles are responsible for the release of far more
greenhouse gasses and other pollutants than electric vehicles.
