It might be something a little more obvious than that.  Democrat candidates
tend to kiss up to celebrities also, and some of those celebrities probably
like it and return the favor.  Also, as I said before, many of their fans
like it.

IIRC, Trump pretty much came out as "against the Hollywood elite" so I
doubt they had much reason to warm to him.
