The Ignorant Elitists believe that the economy (life, actually) is a zero sum
game.  If you make more than him, it's because you are "cheating" somehow.

Really, it's just the normal envy that the Ignorant Elitists have for people
who can actually perform and salve for their egos as to why someone who is
"dumb" can make more money than they do.
