He said fundamentalists, not conservatives.  I don't know Matt well but,
judging by his posts here and other places, I doubt he is a fundamentalist.
IIRC, he has some interesting stories about dealing with fundamentalists
who do not approve of his lifestyle.

But if it makes you feel good to think that...
