Are rich men not welcome in Heaven? Might they be guilty of one of the seven
deadly sins?

The idea that too many sins keep one from Heaven, though, is mostly
attributable to John of Patmos, the author of the Book of Revelation. It is
in that book that the Judgment Day is discussed, and Jesus' separating the
sheep from the goats, etc.
