Accepting mail-in ballots after election day (provided that they had an
appropriate postmark) is not illegal, and it does not mean that the polls
were open after election day.

COVID is still a threat, although a manageable one if enough people are
vaccinated. The more that are vaccinated, the mor emanageable, but we have to
take what we can get.
