My requoting of your reply with the 3-initials in the body, quoted fine.   
But this reply is between us who are 2-initals each.


But a message that contains a *previously quoted* 3-initial "original",  
gets staggered when re-quoted.

Will experiment some more.  Maybe the original problem had to do with how  
each original line was terminated, or how long each quoted line was  
originally.
