Names with 3 or more initials such as "Wilfred van Velzen", or "Rick van  
Beek" might show up in originating messages like this:

        WvV> some quoted text here, line 1
        WvV> some quoted text here, line 2
        WvV> some quoted text here, line 3

or,

        RvB> some quoted text here, line 1
        RvB> some quoted text here, line 2
        RvB> some quoted text here, line 3


But when YOU start a quoted reply, the aligned lines get staggered, for  
example:

        WvV> some quoted text here, line 1 WvV> some quoted text here,
        line 2 WvV> some quoted text here, line 3

or,

        RvB> some quoted text here, line 1 RvB> some quoted text here,
        line 2 RvB> some quoted text here, line 3
