Yes it would but the built-in twit filter is just a simple rudimentary one.

There used to be a number of third-party filter "Tools" which were very good
but they were all 16-Bit. The best one of all was CrossSecretary written by
Christian von Busse but it was *not* easy to configure. The only one I know of
that's still out there is XPFilter but it's for Linux.
