It could be something else "wrong" (or different) on your side.  Here is a 
picture of Apoint on my Win7/64 desktop from an install on April 13 (which I 
had forgotten about), and there is no cut-off.

monitor = acer AL1715 4:3
cleartype = on
aero themes = not!

Try switching to a non-aero theme to see if there is a difference?
