WHERE are the "additional sound signals" and "optical sound signal"  
controls?   Is that just for the linux version?

Maybe he doesn't have a working pc speaker!   :/

It beeps repeatedly with every key-press when I press the Delete key at  
the end of a line to clear out extra chars before EOF symbol (which is a  
diamond).   I really don't need an audio beep to tell me what I can "see".
