Fidonet "is" great given that you are still able to trade silly banter in
2021 because some people take an interest in keeping the old dog alive.

Just as some people run Othernets because they want something other than
Fidonet. Some Othernets have very good traffic both in quality and quantity.

Some people just want obscure bizarre Usenet fetish-porn in PKT format.
