I'm not an expert on filerequest software. I know you can do file requests on a binkp connection, but I don't know which software supports which filerequest protocols. So maybe XA is possible in combination with IBN, maybe not... ;)

Indeed. Both is correct and allowed, so it's up to the NC. But why not use the shortest form, which also gives less chance of errors or misinterpretations. In R28 we use the short form. (So IBN without INA).

XA Isn't coupled to the hostname. The XA flag applies to the node, regardless of the connection method, afaik.
