From netmail with one of the sysops with the link local address, I understand that ddns.net is unable to handle the situation that a host name has only an AAAA record. It is not possible to enter an AAAA record without also entering an A record. And so the "solution" is to enter an invalid A record.

IMNSO ddns.net is incompetent in this respect. How are they going to deal with DS-Lite customers. I would have voted with my feet. In fact, many years ago I DID vote with my feet when a DNS provider could not properly deal with IPv6 (Starthosting)

In the meantime, I suggested adding the INO4 flag and I see that my suggestion has been followed in 50% of the cases... ;-)
