Yes, the reality is that we don't have a pool of people standing by to
take over responsibilities. Succession planning was inconsistent before,
almost non-existent now.

If I decided to retire as RC, I don't know if any of my downlinks would
be able to take over responsibilities. ZC1 would probably have to merge
two regions - probably a better choice given Fidonet's reduced size.
