If the connect information is complete and the system can indeed be connected using thet information, then indeed the Pvt is redundant. There are still e few of such entries in the nodelist. E.g:

Pvt,13,Whiskey_Lovers_BBS,Lake_Forest_CA,Stephen_Hurd,-Unpublished-,300,INA:wd1cks.org,IB N

Pvt,8004,4-U_BBS,Duesseldorf,Vitus_Zeel,-Unpublished-,300,XA,MO,INA:BlackICE.BBSIndex.de

Just two examples, there are more. These are probably relics from the time not all versions of MakeNl supported "-Unpublished-" without "Pvt" and IP only nodes were listed with the Pvt keyword. Now that versions of MakeNl supporting "ALLOWUNBUB" have been available for all OS's in use by *C's for about a decade there is no longer a need nor an excuse fot such listings.
