Vlist's law art 11: The chance of an off-line node returning after a "temporary" hardware problem halves every forthnight. Explanation: Most hardware related problems can be fixed within a week. If a sysop is actively involved in Fidonet and well motivated to keep things running it will be fixed in a couple of days. If it takes much longer it is usually due to the sysop having lost interest in Fidonet and that interest will get less the longer he/she no longer participates. The two weeks half life is just an educated guess, not a measured quantity. DC> Your call on the IPv6 list. Like you, I prefer a short but accurate and up to date list over a long list with dead wood. If/when Charles comes back, he can be back in the IPv6 list in no time. (If he still supports IPv6) But I am not holding my breath... Cheers, Michiel --- GoldED+/W32-MSVC 1.1.5-b20170303 * Origin: Nodelist Police Station (2:280/5555) .
