Be that as it may be, my FTN software uses these lists to find a node number for a name if not already known, it uses these lists to find a host name for a node number which is used to send the mail to its destination. For all intents and purposes they are nodelists as documented in FTS-5000.

I do not use the weekly list issued at Friday. Haven't done for at least a decade. It is received and archived, but not /used/.
