I ditched my POTS in 2006, nobody noticed, nobody was bothered by it.
 
Only when I mentioned it in the R29 sysop-echo like close to 10 years later did a sysop pick it up and ran to tell someone in Z1 in hopes it would start a riot. Nothing happened.
